Apoptygma Berzerk collect their many covers

The Norwegian electropoppers Apoptygma Berzerk have collected the covers they’ve done over the years, and also provided some new ones, on “Sonic Diary”. Old ones include OMD’s “Electricity”, Kraftwerk’s “Ohm Sweet Ohm”, Marilyn Manson’s “Coma White” and many more.

New ones include Keane’s “Bend and Break” and Visage's "The Damned Don't Cry". We also find a new version of “All Tomorrows’ Parties” featuring Nico who sang on Velvet Underground’s original. The album is out on December 1, and also comes in a limited edition with some new remixes, by for example Mesh, Ladytron and Sono.

The new single "Cambodia" - the Kim Wilde cover from "You and Me Against the World" - is also out on December 1. The video has been out on the net for some time.


Lustans Lakejer in Swedish Eurovision Song Contest

A while ago we told you that Johan Kinde had written the song ”Allt vi en gång trodde på” for the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest semifinals 2007. Now, when the particpants have been presented, we learn that the song will actually be performed by his very own Lustans Lakejer, including Tom Wolgers.

All the Lustans Lakejer albums from the eighties have finally been rerelased on digipak CD in a limited edition of 1 000 copies per CD, with refreshed layouts, bonus tracks and biographies.

The reissues are: "Lustans Lakejer" (1981), "Uppdrag i Geneve" (1981), "En plats i solen" (1982), "A place in the sun" (as Vanity Fair, 1983), "Lustavision" (1984) and "Sinnenas rike" (1985).



In Strict Confidence issues quadratic disc box

German industrial pop band In Strict Confidence brings the behemoth “The Serpents Kiss” box. We have it and can tell you it's a nice-looking triple EP cartoon box with 19 songs on quadratic discs (!). It has new songs like "Rain" and "Shadow Hides Sun" as well as remixes. Only 999 signed and numbered copies will be made, so ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!

The box is meant to coincide with the upcoming European tour, and is out on January 19 (Minuswelt). Buy it at the concerts or order it from ISC’s own web shop or some of the selected stores that offer this box.

The Arvika Festival, located in the mighty woods of Värmland, Sweden, released the first 1000 tickets today, at the reduced price of SEK 595 ($ 86).

At the same time, you can buy 5, 10 or 20 trees (!). These will be planted in Namibia. Arvika Festival launches a campaign called Kärlek till skogen (Love for/to the forest) in an effort to fight global warming and raise awareness.

The Arvika Festival is now back on its feet financially is scheduled for July 12-14, 2007.

This year's event was a huge sold-out (15 600 visitors) success with Nitzer Ebb, The Knife, The Young Gods, Thåström, Teddybears Sthlm, Covenant, Juno Reactor, Ladytron and many more.



Spetsnaz' German tour cancelled

Popular Swedish EBM duo Spetsnaz has quit their German tour as support act for And One (and their concert at sea during the Das Boot event) due to differences of opinion between the two members Pontus and Stefan after their gig in Dresden. They will try to solve their issues and Pontus tells his German label Out of Line that he will work on new music regardless of the outcome.

Their latest release is the EP "Hardcore Hooligans".
