New Dupont EP and video

Stockholm EBM/electropop duo Dupont, that we interviewed in August, will release an EP for "New Dawn" on Friday. The song, taken from Dupont's third album "Entering the Ice Age", has been remixed by Oscar Holter (Necro Facility) and newcomers Titans - and this quality video has been produced by Leo Josefsson (Lowe, Megahype).


New ASP single includes 42 page comic book

German "gothic novel rock" band ASP return on Friday with the double A-side "Wer Sonst?"/"Im Märchenland". The single features eight tracks, a live video and a twelve page booklet with two cover pages. In the limited special edition, a 42 page ASP comic book is included, with illustrations from legendary illustrator Ingo Römling. ASP have recorded two covers, by The Cult and Trio. Project Pitchfork and Clan of Xymox have provided remixes.


Autokratz video contest

Among all the remix competitions, Autokratz and French label Kitsune invite everyone to a video competition. The winner's clip will be the official music video for the third single off the "Animal" album, "Speak in Silence", from the electronic duo. All entrants will receive prizes from Autokratz.


Marilyn Manson has H1N1

Marilyn Manson has been diagnosed with the swine-flu - the H1N1 virus. "Unfortunately, I am going to survive", he writes on Facebook.


The Birthday Massacre cancel tour

Birthday Massacre

The Birthday Massacre announce that they will not going to be able to make it to the "Into Darkness Tour", with Deathstars, Dope Stars Inc and Diary of Dreams in Europe, this October. However, the Canadians will work on their next album and a new web site.

The delayed live DVD "Show & Tell" is on presale.


Laibach and Juno Reactor to headline BIMF

The Belgian Independent Music Festival has bought the Laibach and Juno Reactor package (the two bands are offered together for some reason), as headliners. BIMF will take place in Antwerp on December 19. Other live acts are Crash Course in Science, Aroma di Amore, Click Click, Red Zebra, 32 Crash, Amgod, Qek Junior, Sol 19 and Terence Fixmer (after party).


Final NIN show featured 37 songs

Nine Inch Nails' final "Wave Goodbye" show at the Wiltern Theater (capacity around 2200) in Los Angeles on September 10 featured guest appearances by Gary Numan, Dave Navarro, Mike Garson, Atticus Ross and Dillinger Escape Plan. After 35 songs, the show ended with "Hurt" and "In This Twilight".

On September 2, Trent Reznor and co performed "The Downward Spiral" album in full (and many other songs), at the Hollywood Palladium.


The Knife's opera music on CD in January

The music from the Hotel Pro Forma's Darwin opera "Tomorrow, in a Year", will be reworked for a CD release in January. The music is composed by The Knife in collaboration with Mount Sims and Planningtorock. The opera premiere was in Copenhagen on September 2 and the opera is on tour this fall.


Combichrist join Rammstein tour

Combichrist have been added as support to the European Rammstein tour in November and December. They will also play selected gigs in between Rammstein dates.

Rammstein's new video "Pussy" premieres today.


Arvika festival moved to mid-July

The Arvika Festival 2010 has been moved to a later date, July 15-17, "for different reasons". There's still no decisions made on the program, capacity or tickets.


Five hours of roots EBM in new box

"Old School Electrology I" is a 4 CD box set compiled to display the roots of dark electro and EBM. The label (Electro Aggression Records in California) says the compilation will hold 72 exclusive tracks, 3 revamped demos and 6 remixes - and that it will be released later this year. Some of the new and old artists from the track list: Astma, Spark, Orange Sector, PP?, Parade Ground & Patrick Codenys, IC 434, Yelworc, Armageddon Dildos and Haujobb.
