New Einstürzende Neubauten album out soon

  • As we have mentioned before, the new Einstürzende Neubauten EP "Total Eclipse of the Sun" was released this Monday, August 2. It will be followed by a new full length album October 4. /Kristoffer Noheden

    Apoptygma Berzerk release eclipse single on eclipse day
  • Not only Einstürzende Neubauten release a single in connection to the eclipse. A single by the name of "Eclipse" will be the next sign of life from Norwegian Apoptygma Berzerk. Appropriately enough it will be released on the August 11. A new album is also on its way, "Welcome to Earth". Release? Later this autumn, probably September. /Niklas Forsberg

    Star line up for horror movie soundtrack
  • The American independent horror movie "The Blair Witch Project" recently had its premier in the USA. The soundtrack is out now on Chapter III and includes artists like Skinny Puppy, Lydia Lunch, Public Image Ltd, Meat Beat Manifesto and Front Line Assembly. /Kristoffer Noheden

    More on Kraftwerk
  • Kraftwerk's Kling Klang Musikverlag has made a world-wide publishing deal with with Sony/ATV Germany.
    From Kraftwerk's official website, there is a link to an online shop with among others new official Kraftwerk mouse pads and T-shirts.
    Rumours indicate that former Kraftwerk man Wolfgang Flur will publish a book about his Kraftwerk days. It will be called "Kraftwerk transformiert" and is scheduled for an August, or possibly September release. /Mikael Kahrle

    German synthpoppers Beborn Beton is back
  • The new Beborn Beton single, "Poison", is on its way. The release date is set to September 24. Two versions of the title song and the two extras - "Humanity" and "Phoenix" - will make up the tracklisting. The new album "Fake" is scheduled for release on October 18. /Niklas Forsberg

    Warp celebrates tenth anniversary
  • Sheffield based electronic label Warp has existed for ten years this autumn. This will be celebrated at the Vibe Bar in London on November 3 to 5, where among others Red Snapper, Jimi Tenor, Autechre, Squarepusher and Boards of Canada will perform live. Aphex Twin and Mira Calix will be DJ:s.
    Warp will release a remix compilation to mark the anniversary, which will feature Mogwai, Stereolab, Autechre, Luke Vibert and To Rococo Rot, to name but a few. On top of this, Warp will also make a compilation of some of the artists that influenced them to start up the label, including 808 State, Model 500, A Guy Called Gerald, and many more. /Kristoffer Noheden

  • The next Front Line Assembly single will be "Fatalist", out on October 5. /Mikael Kahrle

    Cevin Key makes new Plateau album
  • Former Skinny Puppy multiinstrumentalist Cevin Key has recorded a new album under the Plateau moniker. It will be entitled "SpaceCake" and should be out on Metropolis September 14. On this album Key has worked with Phil Western, and it is said to be more light and ambient than the hard Plateau debut "Music for Grass Bars". /Kristoffer Noheden

    New single with Olle Ljungström
  • The Swedish pop star Olle Ljungström releases the new single "Happy End" in early September. About the same time he starts to record his new album. /Mikael Kahrle

    Ravenous' third album completed shortly
  • Talented electro pop trio Ravenous, with people from EBM band Funker Vogt, is in the final stages of completing their third full length album. But before that release, the single "Silver Ray" will show up in early September. /Niklas Forsberg

    Backlash EP on its way

  • The Swedish electronic newcomers Backlash, will release their delayed debut, "EP 1", this autumn on Telegram (Warner). Their music is in the same schools as Kraftwerk, And One and Aphex Twin. /Mikael Kahrle

    New Snog album
  • Australian electronic act Snog will deliver "Third Mall from the Sun" on August 24 (Metropolis). /Mikael Kahrle

    Avant Garde on Synthphony
  • Swedish synthpop duo Avant Garde has signed with American label Synthphony Records, and new material is in preparation. They were previously signed to Eternity Records./Niklas Forsberg
