Hey nurse - can you please give me
some more of that Sonic Youth treatment?
I have been suffering from symptoms
of withdrawal ever since I was "Dirty"
and not even trips to "Murray
Street" or the ghosts in New
York have been able to still my shakes.
Ah,
that's better! A dose of Kim Gordon
- as she should sound - in "Pattern
Recognition" lessens my ache!
I feel almost like a bull in the heather.
The trip all the way through her Arthur
Doyle hand cream makes me groove instead
of shake. And when I inject some "Bones"
my body feels like during the good
old days again. I begin to shout "Rock"
from the top of my, now fully functioning,
lungs and look forward to the rest
of the cure.
This
is truly how it should feel, nurse.
Please don't stop. Let me have the
full treatment and at the end mellow
out with "I Love You Golden Blue".
And
as my mind drifts of, with glittering
images of an underground, totally
made up in velvet, you must push that
button again. Yes, of course I know
that it will never again feel like
as when the whole nation daydreamed
- but it sure feels damn close.
