Electronic music pioneering band Cabaret Voltaire returns with the first album in 20 years.
Mute will release the album which is called “Shadow of Fear” and according to the press blurb the sound is “techno, dub, house, 1970′s Kosmische, and general esoteric explorations coupled with mangled vocal samples”.
Cabaret Voltaire is a Richard H Kirk’s solo project these days. This new era for Cabaret Voltaire started at the Berlin Atonal Festival in 2014, where he played his first solo show. After that he started playing live more and more, and also started composing tracks especially for the live gigs.
Tbe album aims for a November 20 release. Check out the first track “Vasto” below.
