As expected, Covenant will release the popular “Leaving Babylon” song “Ignorance & Bliss” as a single. It will be a limited edition affair with some high profile remixes in March. “Ignorance & Bliss” is actually an 8 year old song that did not make it to the “Skyshaper” album in the form it had then.
Critically acclaimed German dark electronic duo Seabound came to a halt when member Martin Vorbrodt moved to the USA 5 years ago. A couple of years ago Martin Vorbrodt and Frank Spinath started working on new songs over the Internet and anyday now, the new Seaboundalbum “Speak in Storms” will be finished.

UK synthpoppers Client took a long break after Sarah Blackwood left the band about 3 years ago (she is back in her old band Dubstar by the way). Now mastermind Kate Holmes has recruited new skilled vocalist Client N (Nicole) from Bristol.
The annual ElectriXmas festival in Malmö, Sweden, in December has been cancelled. The team behind the festival say they did not want to go ahead with the event when the venue Inkonst lost its alcohol license. [more...]
The 3D show must go on. The latest addition to Kraftwerk’s 3D tour is Stockholm, where co-founder Ralf Hütter and the 3 “new” members will perform at the Cirkus venue on January 21-22.

This May Alison Moyet released her album “The Minutes”, her first since the 2007’s “The Turn”. It is a more electronic album then her last couple of adventures and when a tour promoting the album was announced I immediately looked for suitable dates to attend. Oddly enough the only dates I could manage was Bristol and Cardiff, which perhaps is not my first choice of cities to visit, but they both proved to be nice destinations. I really enjoyed the concerts which included 4 Yazoo songs.
