After their hugely successful tour of both Europe and the US, Depeche Mode will play more European dates in the winter. This is not news – but who they’re bringing with them as support is.
The support acts are Re-TROS, Pumarosa, EMA, and Black Line, where I suppose Black Line should interest Release readers the most as it’s an industrial “super group” with a core of Douglas McCarthy from Nitzer Ebb and producers Zack Meyers and Cyrus Rex, mix engineer Ken “Hiwatt” Marshall (Skinny Puppy), and Bon Harris (Nitzer Ebb). We don’t know exactly who will join the project on stage.
Re-TROS is a Chinese post-punk trio, and Pumarosa is a London based indie / alternative quintet. EMA resides in Portland, and is a one-woman project leaning towards dark alternative indie with electronic undertones.
Check out the Depeche Mode web site for a complete listing with all the dates.
