“Syro” nominated for Mercury Music Award

An album that I have been reporting on since its first announcement by air balloon over East London, Aphex Twin’s “Syro” has now been nominated in the UK for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize.
This annual event has previously been won by artists such as Primal Scream, Portishead, and James Blake.
“Syro” has already won this year’s Grammy for best electronic/ dance album – making it Aphex Twin’s most critically acclaimed to date.
