The modern day career challenges of UK based industrial and synthpop legend Gary Numan is the main plot in a new rockumentary.
“Gary Numan: Android in La La Land” is a film directed by Steve Read & Rob Alexander highlighting the Numan year 2013 from behind the scenes. Numan moves his family to California, USA during the film, as it explores his re-emerging career in parallel. The film, premiered at SXSW in March followed by select film festival appearances, is being released limited in UK Cinemas today (August 26) starting in London so grab your tickets.
Numan’s vision to maintain independence in the music business along with his global appeal spawned a Pledge Music campaign for his next album 2015. The campaign is beyond double the original goal. Numan plans to deliver completed recordings by November.
The Gary Numan live band is continuing with three Classic Albums theme shows in the UK in the second half of September with 11 shows.
