After The Cure’s bass player Simon Gallup was unable to perform live at the Japanese Fuji Festival, last weekend, his son Eden took his place.
Robert Smith calls him “very brave and very excellent” and says his dad will be back on the road for the upcoming dates. An unknown “serious personal situation” occured. Robert Smith has not performed live without Simon at his side in two decades. Eden Gallup is Simon’s bass tech and also plays in the band Violet Vendetta.
