Last year, Swedish-American-Iranian artist Roya was awarded best for best synth album at the independent Manifest Awards. Today “Pulse”, the follow-up to “Hive”, is released on Labrador Records.
The Stockholm solo artist’s minimal wave is dominated by her hypnotic voice and this time around the sparse music is both darker and harder. Since her debut album was released she has, amongst other things, supported Ladytron and her music has been featured in the Swedish crime drama “Beck: Ditt eget blod”.
