Tension is building for the forthcoming brand new album from Duran Duran. Recently released first single “Invisible” sounds classic Duran, but elevated and updated to modern day sounds.
- Sonic architecture has always been incredibly important to Duran Duran. I think, with “Invisible”, we really have managed to carve the sculpture the way we wanted it. Sonically, it’s a very unusual piece of music. I think when you merge all the instruments together, it creates an overall sound that perhaps you haven’t heard before, keyboardist Nick Rhodes says.
The album is called “Future Past” and will be released in various formats on October 22nd. It is produced by Erol Alkan, Mark Ronson and legend Giorgio Moroder, and features a number of collaborations with amongst others Graham Coxon (Blur), Mike Garson (Bowie pianist) and Lykke Li (Swedish singer). More people will be announced.
