back in 1995. Band member Ronan Harris says
that this new version of the album will sound the way he initially wanted it
to. Parts of it will be re-recorded and re-mixed. /Niklas Forsberg

Cetu
  Javu comeback

  We
told you earlier about the reunion of Boytronic.
It seems other bands in the same genre want to do the same. Cetu
Javu, the Spanish-German synthpop band with hits like "Situations",
Have in Mind" and "Dame tu Mano", are now working on new material again. They
are still to decide if they will release the new stuff on their own or if they
will contact other labels. They also have a new site
  up. /Niklas Forsberg

in the studio. He is reported to have participated in a few songs already. The
band is hard at work on the new material, which will go into mixing phase on
  November 20.
The spirit is high and they hope for the new album, for which they have recorded
eleven or twelve new songs, to be mixed before Christmas time. A rumour says
that one of the songs is called "Sweetest Condition".
Anton Corbijn, who has worked with Depeche
Mode visually for many years has also paid them a visit with his camera. /Niklas

Ministry
  appear in "A.I." movie

  Surprisingly,
  sinister industrial rockers Ministry will
make the soundtrack for Steven Spielberg's
next film, "A.I.", as well as appearing in the actual movie. "A.I." was one
of the projects director Stanley Kubrick
was working on before his tragical demise, and Spielberg has now decided to
  pursue the film. /Kristoffer Noheden

Antiloop
played for 60 000 in the Red Square

  Sweden's
leading techno act, Antiloop, will release
the single "Catch Me" later in November. It features rapper Timbuktu
and the song is remastered (compared to the album version). In September Antiloop
played at an Adidas festival in Moscow's Red Square in front of
  60 000 people.

  - It was really cool and we were the only foreign act. We also did some other
stuff, like Russian MTV and Moscow is a fascinating city, Antiloop's
   Robin Söderman tells Release.
Antiloop also visited Estonia and Bulgaria that month.
  - At the press conference in Sofia we were told we had sold half a million records
and we had no idea. It's all about the blackmarket, Söderman says.
Antiloop has embarked on a Swedish DJ tour and plans to play several gigs in
the UK as well, since they just signed a DJ managing deal there. They are also
busy with remixes (Tom Jones), a forthcoming
radio show on Swedish national radio, a video recording and promotion activities.

Antiloop started back in the mid-nineties. Even though their first single was
named "Not Suitable for Mass Consumption", the success was almost immediate.
Since then, they have released a long row of hit singles ("In My Mind", "Believe",
"Only U", for example) and two albums. They have won a Swedish Grammy and several
  other rewards. /Mikael Kahrle

be reached with the English management. /Niklas Forsberg
New
  Project Pitchfork album next year

  A
brand new Project Pitchfork album will come
out early next year, probably in February. More News on this as soon as we know
more. The band will go on tour next year too, with goth newcomers Zeromancer
  as support. /Niklas Forsberg
Delayed Ravenous single

  The
  new Ravenous single, "Frozen Tears"
(above), has no release date as of yet, because of a part in the title song
where the band "borrows" a passage from a well-known musical. Until
this issue is cleared, the single will remain unreleased.
In other Ravenous news, "Mass Mental Cruelty", the band's out-of-print
debut album, will be reworked with bonus material for a release in early 2001.

Mesh leaves Memento Materia for German Orbit

English trio Mesh (above) signed a
deal with German label Orbit Records on October 5. This means
that they will leave their old Swedish label Memento Materia
and the German licensor SPR. The departure from Memento was
on friendly terms as they recognized the band's belief in a future with a major
company. Orbit is a big, successful label with artists such as Alice Deejay, The Tamperer, Mark'Oh and recently also
  Karl Bartos.
The first Mesh release on Orbit is a single on November 13 and it will be a
collaboration with Mark'Oh, Claus Hagel and the London Session
Orchestra. The single is a cover of Blancmange's "Waves"
and will include a Mesh remix and a dance remix as well as an exclusive track
called "You and Me", written by Mesh and Marko Albrecht (Mark'Oh).

The video for the single was recently shot on the island of Fuerteventura, one
of the Gran Canaria Islands. As if this wasn't enough, the band's last album
"The Point at Which it Falls Apart" will be released in the US through
Metropolis on November 14. /Niklas Forsberg
Massive Attack collaborate with The Dandy
Warhols and work on new album
    Massive Attack have relocated to
Barbados to continue the work on their forthcoming album, scheduled for release
next autumn. Massive Attack's 3D recently did a remix
of A Perfect Circle's forthcoming single,
  "3 Libras".
  The Dandy
Warhols have also, surprisingly, collaborated with
Massive Attack. This summer, the two bands recorded a track together, with the
working title "House of Yes", to be included on some future Dandy
  Warhols release. /Kristoffer Noheden
Chrom takes a break
German label Chrom, home of Deine Lakaien, Silence and Distain! etc, will not release
anything until the band NIOWT delivers new material
in February. The break will be used to reorganize the label. /Niklas Forsberg
Mute signs Looper
Scottish band Looper has signed a deal
with Mute. Looper is a quartet led by Stuart David, co-founder of Belle and Sebastian and Looper has released two albums prior
to this record deal. Daniel Miller of Mute seems to
be very pleased with the signing. Looper will go into the studio soon to record
their first Mute album, due out next year. /Niklas Forsberg
Dark rock legends The Mission back on track
   The Mission's first real studio
album in years is getting closer.
  - It will hopefully be finished in February
to be released in May with a single, probably 'Mesmerised' - to precede, Wayne Hussey tells Release.
  However, it seems the reunited
band is doing its best to stay out of the studio, considering they're still
on their "Recon 2000" tour that started in April. So far, it stretches
over 17 countries and 72 gigs. A live album from the tour - "Everafter"
  - was released on Trojan in August. Several gigs in Scandinavia,
for example, remain. What can we expect from them?
  - A little less hair (on Craig at any rate) and
various shades of nail polish. Some new songs, some old, some very different
songs and one or two surprises, Hussey says.
The Mission actually quit in 1996 with farewell gigs and all, but changed their
mind last year and put together the "Resurrection" compilation for
Eagle Records (Gary Numan, Deep Purple). Does Hussey enjoy playing as much as he
  used to?
  - Probably more so. I'm a little more coherent these days and one other
factor is that I never thought I'd get the chance to do this again so it's not
something I take for granted. /Mikael Kahrle
All-star band with Alphaville singer
The Alphaville vocalist, Marian Gold, is working on a
new project with a few friends from other bands. The all-star band, called Sputnik Roadhouse, will consist of
Marian, Klaus Schulze (former Tangerine Dream member) and Effjot Krueger (former Ideal member). The band's
first offering will be a cover version of "Those Were the Days My Friend"
and it will be included in a movie soundtrack. A movie in which the band itself
  will perform. /Niklas Forsberg
