Trent Reznor overdoses on hacker lingo? Aug 29 2007 | By: Johan Carlsson (Stockholm, Sweden) Well, not literally, but the title of the upcoming remix companion album to "Year Zero" is "Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D". Try that on your local record store clerk! Not much is known at this time, but The Faint will contribute a remix, as well as recent NIN opening act Ladytron. Other contributors include Olof Dreijer from The Knife, Sam Fogarino from Interpol, Saul Williams and Bill Laswell. It's due out sometime later this year. Cindi Lauper and Andy Bell duet on Erasure EP Aug 29 2007 | By: Johan Carlsson (Stockholm, Sweden) Hot on the heels of the recent "Light at the End of the World" album, Erasure will soon release "Storm Chaser". It's a remix EP of sorts, featuring new, extended and remixed versions of songs from the album. It will also include "Early Bird", a song featuring Cyndi Lauper in a duet with Andy Bell. Out on Mute of course, on September 24.
Portion Control plan for 2008 Aug 28 2007 | By: Peter Marks (Portland, Oregon, USA) A new, untitled full-length release is in the works from England's Portion Control. A first quarter 2008 release is planned by the band who have just completed a successful appearance at the UK's long standing festival cleverly titled InFest. New visual control mechanisms were utilized by the band with further plans for additional use plotted. No further information detailing the album has been made known but we will keep you updated as reports come in. Moogfest 2007 details announced Aug 23 2007 | By: Alex Veronac (Geneva, Switzerland) Moogfest celebrates the inventiveness of electronic music pioneer Robert Moog. This year's event takes place at B.B. King's Blues Club in New York City on September 22. Live performers include Thomas Dolby. A DVD of the event is planned if you can't make it. New collaborative single from Peter Spilles and Sara Noxx Aug 23 2007 | By: Peter Marks (Portland, Oregon, USA) Although it has no release date currently, "Earth Song" (Prussia Records), a new single featuring Project Pitchfork and Sara Noxx, has been completed. A contest is underway for penning the cover artwork, the deadline is October 7 so all you Rembrandts may send your iconoclastic attempts here. More Project Pitchfork news: "One Million Faces" and "Wonderland" which were previously available only from the Candyland download shop have been issued as physical releases. The Imatem album, "Home" has also received similar treatment. The band are currently hunkered down in the Hall of Light, shaping new Pitchfork tracks as this is written. A few selected live dates have been played with frontman Peter Spilles honing his DJ:ing skills at various festivals also. New Neubauten album and tour Aug 19 2007 | By: Mattias Huss (Uppsala/Stockholm, Sweden) Einstürzende Neubauten will release their new regular album "Alles wieder offen" on October 19. They are also planning an extensive European tour in early 2008. The subscribers of the third incarnation of the neubauten.org supporter project get an album with the same tracks plus a number of extra songs, with an optional DVD about the making of the album. "Alles wieder offen" will be the band's first attempt at releasing an album independently.

The line-up for the Das Boot cruise from Stockholm on December 6-7 is complete: Covenant, Tyskarna från Lund, Alice in Videoland, Menticide, Clawfinger, Dia Psalma and Lillasyster. On board, Swedish community Helgon.net celebrates five years and the Arvika Festival promotes their 2008 event. Also: DJ:s, spa, cinema, karaoke, electrobar and much more. Kent have announced their first single off their new album. In exactly one month "Ingenting" arrives as a CD and download single. One month after that, we get the new album "Tillbaka till samtiden", as previously reported. "Ingenting" is already available as a ringtone.
