Tinitus cancelled

September 9, 2008 | By: Mikael Kahrle (Gothenburg, Sweden)

One week ago, we broke the news about a new Tinitus festival in Stockholm, headlined by Klinik and DAF. Shortly thereafter, the organisers flagged for a possible cancellation and today the final decision was made.

- There will be no festival this year, because of problems with the proposed headliners. If we can't have the super line-up we wish for, we don't want to go through with the event, Daniel Jonasson from Tinitus says.

He hopes to take revenge next year - Tinitus tenth.

No Tinitus, no SAMA, no Electric Gathering. Sweden needs more festivals like these and the lack possible headliners is an issue.

The big news however, is that there is a completely new album on its way, due out in 2009. Not much info on that so far, other than that it’s actually coming.

According to a recent blog on his Myspace page, Chris Corner states that he has finally finished work on his new studio, and will continue working on album number three. Personally, I can’t wait, so considering IAMX is still touring a lot, I hope he can still find time to work on new material. And Chris, please come back to Sweden!
