The Roman empire grows March 13, 2009 | By: Mikael Kahrle (Gothenburg, Sweden) Luxemburg's fine neofolk/new wave act Rome is announcing an EP called "To Die Among Strangers" (Trisol), limited to 999 copies. The disc holds the title song, two remixes of old Rome pieces and an exclusive track. A fourth album is being prepared as we speak. Miss Kittin and the Hacker returns with album and tour March 11, 2009 | By: Tobias Eliasson (Gothenburg, Sweden) One of the most important bands of the electroclash wave was Miss Kittin and the Hacker with their debut “First Album” from 2001; tracks like “Frank Sinatra” and “Stripper” made this movement extremly popular. After solo albums they have now teamed up together again and their second album, “Two” will be out on March 23 at the Nobody’s Bizzness label. Ex-Release writer Martin Söderström from newspaper Aftonbladet tells us Nitzer Ebb is heading for Sweden again. They'll perform in Malmö on June 12 and in Gothenburg on June 13. Tinitus releases one-day tickets March 10, 2009 | By: Mikael Kahrle (Gothenburg, Sweden) Tinitus reports that they now offer one-day tickets for SEK 380 and that this year's Tinitus sadly will be the very last. Tinitus takes place in Stockholm on April 10-11 with headliners such as And One, Die Form, Combichrist, Portion Control, The Klinik and Suicide Commando. Devo to perform debut album live March 9, 2009 | By: Mikael Kahrle (Gothenburg, Sweden) Devo plan, for the first time ever, to do a a one-off performance of their classic Brian Eno-produced 1978 album "Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!" at the London Kentish Town Forum on May 6. Two days later, Devo will perform a greatest hits concert at the ATP Festival in Minehead. Alfa-Matrix signs five acts March 4, 2009 | By: Mikael Kahrle (Gothenburg, Sweden) Belgian label Alfa-Matrix has signed five new acts: Komor Kommando (Norway), Kant Kino (Norway), Schwarzblut (The Netherlands), Virgins O.R. Pigeons (Greece) and Mesmer's Eyes (France). The Birthday Massacre live on disc and stage March 4, 2009 | By: Mikael Kahrle (Gothenburg, Sweden) Release favourites The Birthday Massacre are currently preparing a live DVD and a live CD called "Show and Tell" for release in the next few months. The releases are based upon a late 2007 gig in Hamburg. A new tour schedule is close to completion.
