After the debut full length "Fighting for Voltage", the angry lads in Left Spine Down bring us "Voltage 2.3 - Remixed and Revisited". It's a remix album, filled to the brim - 20 tracks - with remixes by some interesting names from the industrial scene. For example, we have KMFDM, The Birthday Massacre, Chris Peterson from FLA (who also produced the debut album), Tim Skold, Combichrist, Revolting Cocks, Sebastian Komor and more. Further details of THD's return emerge

March 24, 2009 | By: Peter Marks (Portland, Oregon USA)

23db Records will digitally release the new Total Harmonic Distortion record "Evolution of Our Decay" on April 28. This is the first album the band have done since 1999's "Under a Statik Sky" (Pendragon). THD state that this work carries on from their last release and also inform us that an entirely free digital EP called "Subconscious Drip" with ten tracks of entirely different work from the album will be made available the same day.

Lassigue Bendthaus and Cabaret Voltaire have been listed as comparable sonic territory by THD for their return but they also state there will be plenty of retro-futuristic, heavy analog sounds.

Motor supports Depeche Mode

March 23, 2009 | By: Mikael Kahrle (Gothenburg, Sweden)

American/French electronic duo Motor have been hired as support act for 20 of the upcoming Depeche Mode shows in Europe.

Their remix of "Precious" was highly appreciated by Martin Gore and a Motor song was part of the pre-concert music during the last Depeche Mode tour.

- Well this time, instead of one track on a mixtape, we're getting the real deal!, Motor's Bryan Black says to Release.

Berlin label Shitkatapult will deliver the third Motor album late this summer, preceded by single "Death Rave". Remixes for Acidkids and Kanye West are also to be expected.

Browse the On Record archives for our reviews of the first two Motor albums.

Ladytron are going to support Depeche Mode in Belgrad, Bukarest, Sofia und Zagreb.

March 19, 2009 | By: Mikael Kahrle (Gothenburg, Sweden)

British goth rock band Paradise Lost is recording a new album as we speak, in Örebro, Sweden, with producer Jens Bogren (Katatonia, Amon Amarth).

A new drummer has joined the band: Adrian Erlandsson.

- Unfortunately it was too short notice to play on the new album but everything we do from now on will have Adrian involved, guitarist Greg Mackintosh says.

- We knew immediately that he was the man for the job. Playing the songs with him felt very natural. He is the same age as us and from a similar musical background.

Adrian will join Paradise Lost on stage; they will play a number of live shows in April and June.
