COSMIC ALLY
TWIN SUN
ALBUM A DIFFERENT DRUM RELEASE: FEBRUARY, 2005 REVIEW: MARCH 11, 2005

The last decade has seen a significant increase concering the geographical areas covered by electronic bands. New acts from Poland, South Africa and Argentina have entered a circle usually centering around Western Europe and, to some extent, North America. Cosmic Ally's native soil, Korea, may raise a few eye brows.
The raging trance number "Twin Sun" has been licensed to A Different Drum for the American market and it might just attract some of the hardcore clubbers or a fraction of the ever growing synthpop crowd overseas. The sound, simplified, is a powerful version of European melodic trance maestros like Nebulus, Green Court or or Paul van Dyk with trademark angelic female vocals, sung in Korean, mind you, spicing it.
Cosmic Ally and "Twin Sun" will work well on any dance floor around the world, just don't expect intricate song plotting and complex sound experiments. This is straight forward light hearted trance pop focusing on the melodies, not on innovation.
