The legendary The Cure gives us
their best album since "Pornography" and the entire album is actually
good. This is of course a very nice surprise. Rumours have been circulating but
hey, who could have believed that something like this would come out of the
Cure factory?
"Watching Me Fall" is a good example of what kind of music Robert
Smith and his companions do best. The sadness, the pain and the feeling of
hopelessness are important subjects, just like in the good old days. There are
no painful compositions like "Friday I'm in Love" or the majority of
songs on the previous album "Wild Mood Swings".
We'll see if there will be more material from this classic band - rumours have
said that this album would end their career. But that would surely be a great
way to end their career...
