THE FAIR SEX THIN WALLS PART I COMPILATION ALBUM ENDLESS RELEASE: JUNE 6, 2003 REVIEW: JUNE 27, 2003

This German darkwave band has released quite a lot of albums throughout the years, with my personal favourite being “Spell of Joy”. The combination of melody, moods, structure and slick production on that album still sounds very good. “Thin Walls Part I” is a compilation of tracks from above mentioned “Spell of Joy” as well as “Bite Release Bite” and “Labyrinth”. This is an effort to make material available (the original records are sold-out), and more of their full lengths are waiting to get the same treatment.
Those of you that haven’t heard The Fair Sex should give this a try, although I know they’re not to everyone’s liking. The sophisticated harmonies, atmospherics, characteristic vocals and use of guitars mixed with all the electronics could appeal to more people.
