Swedish electro sung in the dialect of skånska is something we’re not too spoiled with. Luckily, Familjen steps up and brings us “Det snurrar i min skalle” (“My head is spinning”), a fine debut with catchy dance tracks to shake your booty to.

I really like what my namesake Johan Karlsson has done here and I can barely sit still when the title track gets going.

In some places it sounds more like old school synthpop, sometimes it’s more modern electro, but Johan handles the different styles with grace. I think even foreign readers might like this, because even if he writes good lyrics, the melodies and sound should appeal to most people who are into electro.
