FIDEL VILLENEUVE British teen duo Fidel Villeneuve have their minds full of anger and their
sampler full of just about everything else. On their Digital Hardcore debut
“Kill Life”, they’re dangerously close to become formulated noise-heads, but
their youthful energy saves them. Adolescently titled tracks like “Go Fuck
Yourself!!!”, “Fully Loaded Overloaded!!!” and “Monkey Time!!!” take in
demented break beats, soundtrack fragments, media chatter, and distortion,
distortion, distortion. The thin production takes some of the power away,
but I’d listen to this before Brighter Death Now any day.
