FIDGET
GLAD TO BE YOUR ENEMY
ALBUM SILENCE RELEASE: APRIL 7, 1999 REVIEW: MAY 22, 1999
In their luckiest moments, the Swedish pop band Fidget reaches sheer powerpop bliss. Singer Nina
Natri evokes just the right "we don't give a shit"-attitude with her voice,
and the guitars blasting forth in the chorus make you feel all warm inside.
Not every track produces this reaction on "Glad to Be Your Enemy". Many of
the lyrics are rather stupid, if charming, and some of the songs feel
unfinished. Fidget still have some distance to cover before they reach the
same platform as other similar Swedish pop bands such as Broder Daniel.
On the other hand, Fidget possesses a naive charm missing from most
established bands. Besides, their music makes you happy!
