FORETASTE TERRORIST TV ALBUM BOREDOM PRODUCT RELEASE: SEPTEMBER 11, 2008 REVIEW: NOVEMBER 3, 2008

I actually haven't heard this duo's debut album, but I do know that I like this, their second effort "Terrorist TV". I don't know much about the band though, except that it consists of XX and XY, a man and a woman from France. Together they play sweet and clean electronic pop, with a certain analogue retro feel to it, imbued with more modern sounds.

They have a very welcome sense of melody and structure, and both the male and female vocals are great. They manage to mix uptempo dance numbers with slower more introspective pieces, creating a dynamic and engaging album that I keep coming back to.

"Terrorist TV" opens strong with five really strong songs in succession and even though not all thirteen tracks are of the same quality, a high percentage of them do. Quite impressive. I think I'm going to have to check out their first album.
