HUNGRY LUCY
APPARITIONS: REVISITED
ALBUM ALFA MATRIX RELEASE: AUGUST 17, 2001 REVIEW: OCTOBER 16, 2001

Hungry Lucy's debut album "Apparitions: revisited" delivers a somewhat inspiring piece of work. With hammering low pulse rhythms, hovering vocals and weird electro tunes, America's Hungry Lucy are intruders on Depeche Mode's native soil. It works out just fine. Before they decide to perform a cover version on the very band's "Blue Dress", that is. Indeed, a bad idea!
Hungry Lucy has no problem what so ever producing good material themselves. My advice to you is as follows:
1) Buy the CD. 2) Program your CD-player to skip song number seven. 3) Get cosy in the comfy chair and enjoy the other fourteen songs.
Hungry Lucy's debut is the first release on Side-Line's Alfa Matrix label. It intends to become a trademark for innovative electronic music. The company is situated in Brussels and the records distributed in Europe by EFA Medien GmbH.
