High grades don't always call for a review of a million words and deep analysis. Sometimes things just come natural. Mike Hauptmann and Carsten Willems of Klirrfaktor are just so damn good it almost hurts. Their firstborn single "…bis der Arzt kommt" was a genial little ironic piece of music, perfectly executed through webs of club oriented electropop and EBM. Strictly sung in German, with clever lyrics and a both cold and warm electronic sound, "Kunststoff" is nothing short of spectacular, from beginning to end. Hypnotizing instrumentals, slow pieces coloured by Kraftwerk or just speedy club hits, Klirrfaktor does them all with those ironic smiles on their faces.
