New band, new label. Kinetic Response Records kicks things off fine with this release.
Canadian duo Lode is, in structure, synthpop based, but with melodies more resembling euro dance than anything else. "Just Another Day" is centered around catchy choruses and a very dance oriented sound. All songs are good, though a bit similar and I could have done without the Christian preaching in the lyrics. Brandon Scott and Elizabeth Thompson have a knack for producing intense dance music, however, and adding Scott's strong vocals, this is more than enough to please both me and a large amount of starving synthpop fans.
