MINDLESS FAITH
MOMENTUM
ALBUM DEPENDENT, METROPOLIS RELEASE: SEPTEMBER 14, 2004 (USA), SEPTEMBER 27, 2004 (EUROPE) REVIEW: OCTOBER 1, 2004

It seems Mindless Faith has contributed to more than a fair share of compilations in the past. I had yet to discover the band's complex crossover-styled industrial before submitting to writing this review, though. The band has devoted its composing to a style of music that is typically American. Like many other industrial purists from "over there", Mindless Faith has discovered that synthesizers can actually play a vital role in the making of aggressive, beat driven guitar thrashing. "Momentum" is diverse, primarily in that it offers up some form of steroid-distorted future pop as well as songs leaning more towards the American classics like Nine Inch Nails. While many other artists in this particular genre follow formulas, you have to give Mindless Faith credit for at least trying to push the envelope.
It's a shame then, that most songs never impress more than on a technical level. Start out with "This Is the Last Time" and go from there if it got you hooked.
