Another German EBM band. Another so so performance. What motivates them to create this kind of standard body music? First and foremost, Monaco X lacks a decent singer. I have great difficulties embracing the scream/yelling type of voice. The music and production work are just like many other in its genre, well made, but without nerve and intensity. And do we really need another cover of Invincible Spirit's "Push"? Especially made by a band in the same musical domains. As most EBM albums, there are glimpses of hope to be found, but too often it's back down the creativity ladder. Some nice instrumental bits help the grade up a bit and "Die Wahrheit" is, in itself, worthy of a higher grade.
The surface looks beautiful, but this body machine is running on empty.
