NOVEMBER 17
DEFY
EVERYTHING
ALBUM SPITFIRE RELEASE: NOVEMBER 25, 1999 REVIEW: NOVEMBER 29, 1999
Feeling frustrated, eh? Disappointed? Well, in a rather crappy world like this,
that is something every, at least a bit, reflective person can relate to. But
why articulate this anger in such a blunt way?
The
"industrial" touch of November 17 is as tiresome as one could expect.
Loads of lame
guitars, some predictable sampling and an incompetent singer (or should I say
screamer?) that really should be taking more care of his very strained voice.
And they probably just adore bands like Fear Factory, Ministry and Sepultura.
Unfortunately, compared to these giants November 17 is nothing but a shadow of
resemblance. This is music that suffers from a severe credibility problem and
desperately needs some form of life inducement.
