PLUXUS
OCH RESAN FORTSÄTTER HÄR
ALBUM SLOWBALL RECORDINGS RELEASE: JUNE 30, 2000 REVIEW: JULY 11, 2000
Pluxus comes from Sweden but lives in Pluxemburg, a usually lively world
filled with playful inventiveness and tons of electronic charm. On "Och
resan fortsätter här" ("The Journey Continues Here") you're given the
opportunity to go on an imaginative tour around Pluxemburg, riding on some
of the sweetest melodies and funniest sounds ever combined. Watch "Djurens
kavalkad" ("The Cavalcade of the Animals") pass by or experience "Magnetiska
fält" ("Magnetic Fields") or perhaps take some time to just "Hacka, gräva,
skotta, såga" ("Hoe, Dig, Shovel, Saw") for a while.
"Och resan fortsätter här" is 21 minutes of the same kind of pure
electro-euphoria that you can find, from time to time, in Joy Electric's
craziest moments or bob hund's more electronic extravagances.
"Och resan fortsätter här" is also the concentrate of Pluxus' in deed
brilliant debut "Fas 2" (Phase 2) that was released last year. Only one of
the nine new songs is over three minutes long, though it's still enough to
catch your fascination every single time.
In Pluxus' world everything seems to be built on improvisation, playfulness and cleverness - and is a certainly pleasant place to be in. So
if you want to give yourself something really nice, visit Pluxemburg - I'm
sure you will enjoy every second of your stay!
