Something
is wrong. You should have stayed with the others. The smell of... bodies?
The room is full of broken glass and she must know I am lying. I have
begged for forgiveness to last me a lifetime. Can you catch the atmosphere
permeating this album already?
Post goes back in time. Lyrically, valuing poetic symbolism over clarity,
and musically playing theatrical art rock with strong new wave influences.
The elegant synthesizer garnishings likewise sound about twenty years
old. Post are lost in a confusing reality, and their music is sad and
brooding and slightly decadent. The lyrics in Swedish convey this feeling
strongly without really saying much, being overtly symbolic and and a
bit pretentious.
The voice of singer Urban Hane radiates true desperation when asking "do
we really love as much as we could?" on one of the stronger tracks, and
this doubt is ever present.
