ALBUM FLUTTERING DRAGON RELEASE: SUMMER 1999 REVIEW: AUGUST 19, 1999
This Swedish band from Linköping makes what I would like to call "judgement day music".
The track "Light of a Dead Sun" begins this album with its militant march rhythms and choirs. Interest for the album immediately begins to spire. The title track starts with strings reminding me very much of the music in the excellent movie "Meet the Feebles". The song is about "the heroes of the apocalypse" blowing five nuclear reactors in the former Soviet Union and in the end, all are dead. "In Shining Armour" is the best song on this album. It is pompous and powerful and has both male and female vocals. Otherwise, most of the tracks are instrumental.
The album is of high quality and all tracks are good. Although, I would have appreciated more vocals. A couple of the instrumental tracks becomes a little bit tedious after a while.
