:SITD: BESTIE:MENSCH ALBUM ACCESSION RELEASE: OCTOBER, 2007 REVIEW: DECEMBER 17, 2007

Sliding between harsh EBM and melodic electropop, :SITD: have created their most diverse bunch of songs ever on "Bestie:Mensch". Employing both hissing, distorted vocals as well as smooth, crystal clear singing vouch for variation, but not necessarily for quality.

You see, unlike the genre greats, :SITD: neither have the power nor song writing force needed. Cliches hail all around this club tinged machine monster of an album. Futurepop elements, the mandatory instrumentals and tired song structures takes it into oblivion. Very solid, but without soul.

:SITD: desperately need better songs and fresh new sounds to set themselves apart from the endless batter of German electro bands that sound exactly like this.
