THE DEAD SEXY INC BREAK ME EP ELECTROSHOCK RELEASE: OCTOBER 27, 2003 REVIEW: DECEMBER 12, 2003

At first this EP sounds like extremely basic and standard electroclash with lo-fi, punkish singing. Which of course it still is, but after a while you appreciate The Dead Sexy Inc’s playfulness, and hi-energy songs. With a bit more identity, maybe these French newcomers can do great things, but as it is now they just blend in with the rest of the bands wanting to make some cash out of the current electroclash trend.
That said this is not a bad EP. Catchy, melodic and up-tempo, I bet they could hold their own on the dancefloor. Especially the remixes, where the Blind Vision mix is my favourite. But it’s not a record you go home with when the club night is over.
