Gothic metal is getting more and more tiresome. Pretentiousness seems to reign and the lack of humour is always too obvious. Tristania is another band in this genre and I hardly can stand to comment their sound. It's the traditional guitars and annoying vocals leaning towards death metal style. Sometimes the guy sings alright but when I sum up the vocals it's not even close to alright. This is, as you must've understood by now, very boring. A positive thing is the good production and sound quality. If you're fond of choirs and such stuff maybe this is your kind of thing. JOHAN ASTEMARK |
