TRYLOK
RELIANCE
ALBUM ARTOFFACT RELEASE: MAY 19, 2000 REVIEW: AUGUST 11, 2000
|
After having spent the past winter isolated in an Austrian mountain village,
working killer days in a kitchen and watching the fascist Haider government
come to power, I have a slight aversion against Austria. And the trio
Trylok, based in Bregenz, not far from where I worked, don't do much to
change my views. Trylok sound like one thousand other bands who spent the
late 90's occupying a zone between synthpop, EBM light and dull techno. An
embarrassing cover of Kraftwerk's beautiful "Radioactivity" and the fact that
the members go under the aliases "Mind", "Energy" and "Strategy" just make
them hit the ground even harder. Utterly uninteresting.
