TYSKARNA FRÅN LUND KNIVEN GAFFELN SKEDEN SINGLE SSC, PLAYGROUND RELEASE: SEPTEMBER 15, 2004 REVIEW: SEPTEMBER 10, 2004

The comedians in Tyskarna från Lund usually combine fake-German lyrics with catchy melodies and a lot of humour. All of these traits are sadly missing on this release, the official Swedish Food Olympics anthem of 2004. A non-descript song lumbers along while someone says “Kniven Gaffeln Skeden” repeatedly. Not much fun. If this is what’s in store for the upcoming full-length album, I will not bother…
Kudos however to Folie who throws in a fab remix wittingly called “Inslagen i Folie” (Wrapped in Tinfoil) which cunningly transforms the track into a groovy ambient techno piece.
