"Advanced
Electronics" is simply an awesome collection of some of the best
electronic acts around these days.
The future pop genre is well represented through VNV Nation, Assemblage
23 and Apoptygma Berzerk and synthpop fans will enjoy the contributions
by Human League, Wolfsheim, Second Decay (a new remix of "I Hate
Berlin") and Mesh with their spectacularly good "Let Them Crush
Us". More aggressive stuff is also included, delivered by among others
KMFDM and The Retrosic. It's nice to see some contemporary electronic
club music make it onto a compilation like this as well. Felix Da Housecat,
Tomcraft and Slam all add an extra dimension to the field of electronic
music, widening the spectrum and enabling new possible directions.
Just to give you all an idea of the high quality representation of this
collection, I'll mention a few more artists: Wumpscut, Neuroticfish, Welle:Erdball,
Diary of Dreams, In Strict Confidence, System F (featuring Marc Almond),
Front Line Assembly and Icon of Coil. The list goes on and on...
If you feel you're not up to date with the modern electro scene, "Advanced
Electronics" is a a two CD smorgasbord of nothing but delicacies.
