Well, this one looks interesting. Frank M Spinath’s (Seabound, Edge of Dawn) solo project Lionhearts will soon release a remix EP with some strong names.
Mesh is perhaps not a band you associate with classical music. But the electronic Bristol band played a very special concert with orchestra with 65 musicians at the Neues Gewandhaus in Leipzig and recorded it for posterity. The result is finally released: 30 minutes of live tracks together with three orchestral tracks that were recorded in the studio. We were intrigued about this whole project, so we got in touch with the band and asked them a couple of questions. [more...]

Another Best of 2017 list, this time from Johan Carlsson. Wulfband, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Arcade Fire, Lizette Lizette, Front Line Assembly and Depeche Mode are some of his favorites.
After the success of “World Be Gone”, Erasure is currently on a massive world tour. The synthpop duo has also recorded an orchestral album, with alternate versions of the songs from the last album.

Terence Fixmer goes EBM again

French techno producer Terence Fixmer is well known for his collaboration with Nitzer Ebb’s Douglas McCarthy in Fixmer/McCarthy but this time he’s going to make (sort of) EBM again under his Fixmer moniker.
Like many other bands these days, Ladytron have chosen to go down the crowdfunding route this time. The new single is the starting point for this campaign.
First announced a couple of years ago, the follow up to Front Line Assembly’s beautifully cinematic and cool game soundtrack “Airmech” is now ready for release. [more...]
