The Klinik will make their first US live appearance when they will perform alongside countrymen Suicide Commando in New York on May 22. This is the only US date for The Klinik and the only US Northeast date for Suicide Commando in 2014.
Spoken-word poet and novelist Maggie Estep died on Wednesday. She had a heart attack two days before and was just 50.
Estep was known to many Release readers for recording the songs “Luscious Apparatus” and “Control Freak” for Alan Wilder’s Recoil album “Unsound Methods” and some have also heard her spoken word albums.

Now it’s time for some name-dropping. Blixa Bargeld, Genesis P-Orridge and Lydia Lunch are all guests on the debut album from Berlin-based project Automat. Jochen Arbeit (Die Haut, Einstürzende Neubauten), Achim Färber (Project Pitchfork, Prag, Phillip Boa) and Zeitblom (Sovetskoe Foto) started Automat in 2011.
