DAF, Gabi Delgado and Robert Görl, played at Inkonst, Malmö, Sweden, on October 10 2015 (photo gallery below!). Before the gig there was a session in co-operation with the Goethe-Institut, where Mats Almegård from Gram(m)ofon interviewed the band.
The topics were influences and important records and singles. It proved to be a very relaxed and fun interview where Gabi and Robert shared anecdotes about their first years as a band. Robert misinterpreted the choice of five influential songs as the first five singles he bought, which only added to the good vibe of the interview. The band was in good spirit and there was a lot of laughter. The last track chosen by Robert was “Super Trouper” by ABBA. The entire interview will be online shortly.
After the interview the general audience was let in and DAF played to a sold-out venue. The set list was a mixture of old and new tracks. The band was in excellent form but it was ridiculously hot and it was evident that Robert was in pain the last couple of tracks. There was only one encore, “Der Räuber and der Prinz”, and Robert later apologized for this stating he was very near a heat exhaustion collapse after the gig.
