Dependent Records has just signed Oomph! vocalist Dero Goi for a multi album deal and his first solo album is on its way.
Dero Goi (Stephan Musiol) co-founded Oomph! in 1989, and their EBM debut album was released by Machinery Records 3 years later. Oomph! continued in a rockier direction and was one of the pioneering acts in the Neue Deutsche Härte genre. Dero left Oomph! two years ago but the band continued.
His upcoming solo work is labeled synthwave and he returns to his catchy, electronic roots.
