If you want EBM in concentrated form, then the yearly Familientreffen is the place to go. This year’s festival line-up offers an interesting mix, with S.P.O.C.K and Absolute Body Control as headliners. Among the other bands performing we find Dupont (with original singer Johan Damm), Aircrash Bureau, Sturm Café, Vomito Negro and Jäger 90. Swedish bands are often well repesented, and among the smaller acts we find Diskodiktator (Johan Billing, ex-S.P.O.C.K), Nexus Kenosis (the new project from Henrik Björkk from Pouppée Fabrikk) and Working Puppets (a sideproject from Sturm Café/Kommando XY).
If the music isn’t enough this is also one of few events in the genre that offers some sporting events for its visitors, where the team “EBM-Elite Sandersleben” has taken home the gold medal the last three years. Will they make it again? Travel down there to find out.
