Sweden has always been a stronghold of quality synthpop, and Sameblod is another notch in our belt. Their new single comes out in December, and you can have a listen after the jump.
According to the press release the band has been compared to MGMT, Yazoo and Depeche Mode, but I hear more connections with bands like Hurts and other newer artists. Nevertheless, it’s great stuff. We don’t know much about the band other than that it’s a duo consisting of Fredrick and Mikael who describes their music as “hopeful electronic mellow-pop with a lot of different influences”.
The new single “Fade out” comes out on December 3, on Sommarhjärta Label, but you can listen to it below.
