Gothenburg based synthesizer manufacturer Elektron popped up in 1998 with the release of the Sidstation. Elektron have quite a few Release related artist among their users, e.g.; Nine Inch Nails, M83, The Knife, Skinny Puppy, Hot Chip, Orbital, Jean Michel Jarre, Autechre, New Order, Chemical Brothers and Air. Things have certainly developed from being a C64 cult item. Today this company have a range of different electronic instruments.

Swedish electropop duo Ashbury Heights plan to release not one, but two comeback albums in 2014, Anders Hagström tells Release. “Looking Glass Society” and “The Victorian Wallflowers” are companion albums.

Norwegian Röyksopp and Swedish Robyn are making music again and have just announced a joint summer tour called “Do It Again”. So far, only Oslo and Aarhus have been set but more dates will follow soon.
After selling out 4 concerts in Stockholm in one day, Kraftwerk now adds another 3D concert in Sweden. But not in Stockholm or another major city. Kraftwerk will perform outdoors in the unique quarry amphi theatre Dalhalla in Dalarna, Sweden, on August 2. [more...]
