The New Dress featuring Johan Kinde (Lustans Lakejer), Mårten Kellerman (Statemachine), Emma Nylén (Emmon, Paris) and Annika Mellin (Paris) will perform “Songs of Faith and Devotion” live, in full, in the All Saints Church in Stockholm on October 25. If you follow Release, you probably know that this is not the first time this group of people play Depeche Mode albums live. “Songs of Faith and Devotion” will be performed all-live with guitar, live drums, bass, organ, strings, grand piano – even Glockenspiel.
It’s been 20 years since the classic album was released. It was awarded the highest grade (10) in Release. Some did not welcome Depeche Mode’s rock approach and a long debate followed (“it’s probably a great album, BUT…”). Time flies.
