This week, the 10-track debut album “The Gloomy and the Goony” of Swedish dreamwave / atmospheric synth artist Not Lars is released after 2,5 years in the making.
- My plan with the whole album has been to try and make something complete that is meant as a comfort for people. 45 minutes where it’s ok to be down and dwell on personal disasters and memories, Lars says.
Not Lars is Lars Netzel who has played in several bands in the past. He is a member of indie act Helm and currently helps female synthpop duo Planet R to produce songs. Lars has released his album digitally and hopes to gain enough support for future physical releases. ”The Gloomy and the Goony” is available on Bandcamp (listen for free, purchase for a small amount).
One year ago, Not Lars released the song “Worry” with its forest-themed video clip (watch below).
