Last try for Page?
  • During 1998 and 1999 Eddie Bengtsson has seen his prime band Page fail to succeed among the old fans. At the same time his other project, Sista mannen på jorden, mostly "for fun", won the Swedish Electronic Music Award for best newcomer 1998. Inspired by this fact, he tells Release that the new Page single will be more classic and electronic.
    - And if people doesn't like it this time... Well, I shouldn't say anything, but I'm not sure if the forthcoming album will be recorded in that case, he says.
The single will contain the songs "Som det var" and "Enkelt, eller hur?". It will be released by Page new home, SubSpace Communications, which Bengtsson co-owns.
    - We left our previous company Independent without any hard feelings, he explains.
We will get back regarding Bengtsson's other projects. /Mikael Kahrle

  • De/Vision will release their next single, an updated version of the 1995 song "Blue Moon" on September 26. This wasn't all that popular amongst the members of the band. They thought the new album "Void" (November) had better songs. But the record company insisted, so to speak.
De/Vision labels their music as "pop" or "industrial pop" and not synthpop nowadays, which seems to irritate some of the old fans. /Niklas Forsberg
