    Covenant's new album delayed

  • The release of the new Covenant album, "United States of Mind" has been moved about half a year. Here's a statement from the band:
"We and our labels have decided to delay the release of our next album "United States of Mind" until early the year 2000. As a result of this delay the planned European tour in November has been cancelled. Covenant would like to apologize for this and assure you all that the only reason is to make the best possible album and tour. We promise our fans the best Covenant album yet and an album that will set a new standard in this style of music. The first post-millenium chapter is being written at this very moment.
We also want to thank all the wonderful people that helped make our summer festivals this year memories for life and we hope you had as much fun as we had! Let's continue to grow in mutual respect and care!
Peace and love to all our sisters and brothers!" /Mikael Kahrle

  • Rammstein will soon enter the studio with producer Jakob Hellener, to work on a new album scheduled for a 2000 spring release. Singer Till Lindeman has now recovered enough from his serious crash on the Autobahn this summer.
The pressure is high, since the band has sold three million albums. And for example, the super-German band has managed to sell 100 000 copies in Mexico.
On August 30, the album "Live aus Berlin" was released (see review). The first 5 000 copies came in a limited edition double CD with extra live tracks and CD-R live video clips. The album was recorded one year ago, in front of 40 000 fans during two performances home in Berlin. On September 13, there will be a video and DVD release of the very same concert. /Mikael Kahrle
